Margaret Maclay, a certified business performance coach, has more than 25 years of experience in global corporate strategic planning and process development. She has worked for corporations with worldwide reach to develop production efficiencies and strategies to maximize profitability and productivity.
Today Maclay applies her expertise in conjunction with the FocalPoint Coaching method to assist executives, managers and business owners apply emotional and behavioral intelligence to become more effective leaders; identify the most productive and valuable use of their time; develop the most efficient and cost-effective operations; and increase profitability for their companies.
Maclay partners with clients to clarify existing business processes, personal competencies and identify opportunities to maximize efficiencies, and offers support to design personal and business performance plans. After clients complete comprehensive Personal and Business Assessments, she guides them to develop their own action plan creating focus, structure and stated goals that are geared to build business and promote impactful leadership. Her practice offers select one-on-one coaching for executives and small-business owners, customized training and workshops; she guides clients in maintaining accountability for executing their action plans.

Maclay has been affiliated since 2007 with FocalPoint Coaching. She won its’ prestigious Campbell Fraser Award for Coaching Excellence in 2008 based on outstanding client feedback. She is the Director of the FocalPoint Assessment Center, managing and providing assessment training and support for coaches globally. She served on the organization’s Strategic Advisory Group for 4 terms, is a designated trainer and coach for incoming FocalPoint coaches and provides support to the “Sociedade Brasileira de Coaching” (Brazilian Coaching Society). She is a founding member and certified Sales Success Intensive trainer with Brian Tracy International.
An active member of the community, Maclay is a mentor and board member of Fort Lee High School’s Academy of Finance and is the Executive Director for the Fort Lee Regional Chamber of Commerce. Maclay is a member of the alumni Advisory Board and chairs the NYC Regional Alumni Network for her alma mater, Philadelphia University, where she was honored with the prestigious Time, Talent & Treasure Award for Alumni Excellence in 2012. She is a member of the National Board of Advisors for The Baldwin School for Girls.
